My mistake. All the commercials here have been saying that cable hooked up TVs are safe but over-the-air TVs will go black unless you buy a converter box. Man, if I'm getting confused by the whole deal, what does Joe Average think?

Yes, the average Joe is getting confused. Several of my friends were asking if the cutover on Feb 17 would affect analog channels they receive over their cable systems. Many are confusing the concurrent activity many cable companies are going thru of moving analog stations to digital tiers with the switch of OTA analog to digital.
