In order to use the WiFi modem, you need the correct drivers on the router, it needs to connect via a slightly-more-nonstandard protocol than Ethernet, and generally be more complex than an Ehternet-in router. Hence the cost of such mobile broadband routers so far: well over $100. Wonder how much this one will be. Great idea though. |

A few questions
Only 8 does that mean that its going to pass public IP's via wi-fi? or that its a crippled Wi-Fi ap?
Will it have any wired connections?
Also what will be the monthly cost?

| Going by previous CradlePoint stuff, it may not actually have a wired connection. If youwant to hook upwired computers, you get the home-based solution, which is faster and cheaper anyway.
Monthly cost = cost per month for your Clear mobile service.
Only 8 people...hmm...that could be due to considerations about having the highest speed available for everyone. 8 devices is a fair amount anyway. If those 8 devices were passed public IPs then...wow that'd be amazing. |
