Go to »theoldcatvequipmentmuseum.org/ and click on "Off Air reception." You'll see a lot of the big antenna arrays they used to pick up distant stations.

There's an array made up of multiple towers used as passive elements for VHF. The scale of that thing is absolutely freaking amazing.

Cable companies have a lot of wireless equipment, such as local microwave links.
