My ISP has turn on interleave again......at a  Depth of 352 on the downstream, with a 10ms delay<br><br>My first trace-route hop is over 50ms :(<br><br>The line is set where the DSL modem will sync at the highest possible speed.. which will in-turn  enable interleave because of the line noise. And then the Dslam  will  lower the speeds to my 3meg plan. <br><br>It took me a year to get on fastpath after trying to explain what is was to my small ISP... and now its gone in a blink of and eye. :(]]></description>

It may not accept nta firmwares like the 3347-02-1006L. It had a firmware that begin with <b>nwta</b> and wouldn't accept anything else.<br><br>It seems I'd be better off just getting a 3347nwg-006... I know "but its bellsouth"  The 3347nwg-006 is the only one I know for a fact that will accept nta firmwares and the bellsouth GUI can be disabled by turning off auto config via telnet.]]></description>

It took over a year and a call to the ceo. <br><br>The 3347 does have better upstream SNR numbers than my old 2246. Decision Decisions Decisions <br><br>If only I could flash the 3347 with a Vgx firmware.. I think that would solve it.  The bellsouth firmware what's causing this I bet.]]></description>

I guess the "High Performance" Netopia/Motorola mention is more to do with software.<br><br>I originally tried netgear because my Dslam use broadcom equip which the netgear has a broadcom chipset. I read its good to have matching equip with your ISP. Netopia/Motorola uses Texas Instruments. But their new 7000 series uses broadcom, its VDSL though.<br><br> ]]></description>

It provides slightly better performance over long circuits.<br><br>Unless margin is low sync rate should not be affected by modem. I have a 2246N-VGx(lastest firmware) right now and was wanting to know if I would get any real world benefit if I were to move of up to the 3300 series.. i'm talking better Noise margins and Attenuation.  <br><br>3300 looks like a big ole hefty modem/router lol that would seem pretty stable and powerful.<br><br>I can get the 3347wg for $45 and wondering should  get it.]]></description>
