When did you get it installed?

I heard that the Yucaipa CO got the FIOS equipment back in October, but I still haven't been able to order (I live off Bryant and Fir). How long ago did you get Fios installed?

Install on 1-7-2009. Ordered on 12-19-2008.

I had been getting mailouts from Verizon for about six months before it was actually available.

Your neck of Yucaipa may not have the actual fiber available yet. Keep trying

I'm on Cedar between 1st and California, so you're not far away. PM me and I'll invite you over for a demo.

Hope this helps.

I didn't do it. Nobody saw me do it. You can't prove a thing.

I've been looking into getting Verizon Fios in my home recently, I live practically 6 blocks from either of you honestly, between California and Adams near the Elementary School. Called them earlier today and they told me that Fios isn't available in my area either. Wondering how long it will take for them to start laying Fios up the road towards my house and PhreePhly. When you first ordered Kjolsom did they already have it in your area or did you have to wait for them to get to you?

Also with the TV, did you go with the DVR and if so how does it work, currently I have Dish Network and with 1 DVR box I can record on 2 TV's and watch recorded shows on only those 2 tv's, also I cannot watch live TV while recording (which is understandable). Anyway I've been hearing that you can watch live TV while recording shows on multiple televisions with only one DVR box, just wanted to see if you had this setup and could confirm or deny

Thanks in advance =D

It took about six months of Verizon telling me it wasn't in the area until it was actually in my 'hood.

I have one HD Multiroom DVR. I can record two shows at once, but have to watch either while recording, or record one show and watch anything else. The multiroom will playback on any tv in the house(I have 4). But I can't watch HD progs one any of the other three as they are all SD set top boxes. Recording is controlled only on the TV the HDDVR is attatched to(living room). The other TVs can watch anything else while HDDVR is recording. We also have VOD, so we have three options for viewing programs. It's easy to find something good to watch.

Internet speeds are around 9700 down and over 2 up. Wireless router keeps both my computers online. WPA2 encryption.

Phone service is unlimited long distance with voice mail.

I hope it comes to your street soon. It's the best service I've had yet.

I sure hope it comes to my area soon as well, getting pretty tired of the slow DL/UL speeds of Verizon High Speed. Appreciate the info about the DVR setup, when it comes to my neighborhood I am so going to sign up
