Collections after a year

It appears Teleblend is sending people to collections even when they have not had them in over a year. I got a letter from a company named The Thomas Agency saying I owe them $21.91. I canceled in writing and even ported out my # over a year ago. what a sham this company is.

Last week I too received a collection letter from the Thomas Agency (who by the way seem very friendly and professional). I think Thomas is going to quickly regret buying debt from TeleBlend. It will likely turn out to be a lot of aggravation and little profit.

I haven't been a TeleBlend customer for over a year either (after only 2 weeks of horrible service). At that time I canceled my service and they gave me my money back. Now after 1 1/2 years they somehow decided that I owe them money. I told the guy at Thomas that I bet they'll be hearing the same story over and over from the TeleBlend claims.

I suspect that this is a way for TeleBlend to finally resolve all of their billing problems from those early days. The people that owe will likely pay - the people who don't really owe will prove they don't and the account can be zeroed out (or perhaps this is just yet another TeleBlend billing mess up). Luckily I have a lot of documentation.

I disputed the debt and provided them minimal documentation. If TeleBlend challenges my denial I'll submit more proof. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't have documentation.
