Genachowski's thoughts on censoring rogue boobies ??

The news of Genachowski's pending appointment was hailed as a "happy day for those of us who care about media and kids," by Jim Steyer, CEO and founder of Common Sense Media. Genachowski is on the board of Common Sense.

"The choice of Julius, albeit no big surprise, is a superb one on so many levels," Steyer told B&C, "none more important than his understanding of the media/tech world's impact on kids and education."
Under Reed Hundt he pushed for more children's programming and for cleaning up programming. So I will guess he is against rogue boobies and for cleaning up prime time TV.

His board membership at Common Sense Media aside, you can be pretty sure he'll not give two nipples about boobies on television. That was driven by the right-wing religious zealots and their congressional puppets.

I'm reserving my opinion until I get a better handle on where his current interests lie. They appear to be more broadly focused on promoting infrastructure than on content.

It's really quite interesting that despite so many years in very public positions, there's very little out there on this guy's personal technology opinions. I see he worked with Nielson to help get more accurate viewership stats, but other than some nebulous support of network neutrality (and who knows what his definition of that is), there's really not much to go on yet.

Other than a few venture capitalist bloggers who think he's "neat" and "really smart" because they met him at a convention in Chicago circa 2002.

I don't care about "rogue boobies". I wish the FCC would do something about ads for "male enhancement" products, condoms, and vibrators during G and PG TV shows, though.
