It was not offered to me over Automatic Updates (which most people use) and its not offered when you do the "Express" Windows Update scan. So for an attempt to take over the world, this is a pretty poor attempt. Step away from the tinfoil. On Vista, it is mistakenly offered "Automatically." |

 wenter99Alpha MalePremium join:2003-12-09 Albuquerque, NM | reply to jl747 I just checked my Windows Update history and that little gem was installed on my Windows Vista Premium desktop machine 2 days ago (Jan. 14) as well. It is listed as "optional" but I didn't elect to install it. It was 1 of 5 updates that were installed automatically.
That said, though, it doesn't seem to be causing any conflicts, so far... |
