If the SSID not shown you're not going to be able to link to the wireless if on a MAC, just like you where at an airport to connect to there SSID. The MAC should see it if the SSID and give it a name. Example. Zelig-GWR so your wireless should see that then connect make sure you assign a passcode for it.
