 | This is amazing... Considering the economic crisis cell phones are becoming a luxury for many people, and this pricing couldn't come at a better time. Unlike Crickit's crappy coverage, Sprint's iDEN coverage is rather impressive so you will have good service in most populated towns.
»coverage.sprintpcs.com/IMPACT.jsp Click on Nextel devices to see national iDEN coverage.
Will it work for everyone? No. Some people will want trendy crap phones like the iPhone and many people live in rural areas where perhaps only Verizon has decent coverage. However for a no-contract unlimited plan with fairly decent coverage and no hidden fees this may change the cell phone market up a bit. It's great for those who just want to talk and text, and don't care much about data services. It's also another blow to local wireline phone providers. I may suggest my parents get this, actually. -- We have two political parties in America. One is evil, and the other is stupid. Sometimes, they get together and do something both evil and stupid. That's called bipartisanship. |

 | reply to texans20 Wow it doesn't even have full coverage on major interstates. What a useless service. They really need to add some kind of roaming to this for it to be a viable service. At best this is just a land line replacement and nothing more. |

SoutherLinc which is operated by the Southern Company as their main radio system but is limited to the SE US.They also sell service to the public.
Lets just say the chance of that happening is less than zilch. Probably a better chance of you hitting the state lotto and the PowerBall on the same day.
Theres a few smaller iDEN carriers in the NW, Montanna & Wyoming, but most don't have roaming agreements with nexhell/boost.
International roaming does exist for iDEN. Telus/Mike in Canada. -- If its not Linux, Unix or BSD, it SUCKS! - Ban all copyright, trademarks, and IP laws!//Lorem ipsum ei pro stet equidem labores, at enim animal expetenda nec. Ea vix argumentum dissentiunt, usu esse ridens ex. |

 | It doesn't have to be iDEN roaming. There are other networks. Sprints phones are all hybrids that work with both nextel and sprint networks. They could roam if they wanted to. |
