I mean, I don't think Alfred E Newman needs to be taking credit for anything other than taking away choice from people by pushing consolidation, merges, etc.
But, the numbers do not lie. DSL prices dropped, speeds have increased for the majority of people.. to say "reap the rewards" is a little over doing it, but, the U.S. is not exactly going backwards or hurting either! It may not be to your standards and expectations, but to the majority of people in the U.S., there has been a vast improvement.
.. again, none of any of the improvements that the country has seen in the past years have been, in my opinion, anything based on the FCC's action.. ANY increase of speed or dropping of the price has been purely born from the competition. |
