for me, is the deal at $99. I've been with netflix for five years, so it's a no brainer. I'm viewing on a 32" 720p LCD HDTV with a 10M DSL connection and it's fine. I've yet to hook it up using HDMI (damn TV only has one input), but with component cables it scales 720p pretty well.
There aren't enough HD titles I'm interested in to compel me to a higher quality device, or even an HDMI switch, at this point. I get full stream quality practically all the time. -- |

If you are using HDMI, you are also getting 720p...theres a large thread over in there forums pushing for them to support 1080i in the next release...I am one that is also patiently waiting as my TV like many others do not support 720p. -- Block Accounts | UseNet Now |

That's what I thought too, but the Roku people tell me that Netflix's 'flavor' of HD (bitrate, etc) requires HDMI; component is scaled 720p. George it getting confused ! -- |
