Archivis, I'm using your 51/0/20 diseaseless spec -- gotta say I'm liking it a whole lot more than 21/50/0 Frost. Was on Thaddius last night hitting 15K OB  Ran CoT also and I outpaced everyone on overall damage. Life is good.
Curious what you are using for Major & Minor Glyphs.
I have Obliterate, Ghoul, Blood Strike (for Majors)
Don't recall for minors,... but I think it's
Raise the Dead, Pestilence and Horn of Winter. |

Earth | Glyphs are just about identical. Minors are... minor and relatively irrelevant (that's an awesome combo of words btw). Instead of Pestilence, I use Corpse Explosion.
I don't use pestilence.

Earth | It's been a long time since I tried, but on a "Greater than 1%" HP target dummy, I think my last parse was 3200 DPS for 10 minutes. |

| I specced into a Unholy tank spec but tried to keep some DPS talents yesterday.
It backfired, my dps was 1300 on VoA 25  My DPS gear is awful compared to my tank gear but still, was a little ashamed

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread again,...
Picked up Jawbone last night (replacing Titansteel Destroyer) and using Archi's diseaseless blood spec -- sure love seeing my name in the top 1-3 dps
Question: Have been wanting Black Ice (10 Man Maly) for a long time. Is it better than Jawbone? Would peeps have a cardiac arrest if I roll? |

IMO, it's a ton better, with the Attack Power, Agility, huge amount of Hit rating and Crit. I think the speed is even faster then that mace also.
I've actually had other DK's pretty much laugh at me for using a pole arm like that.....but then I'm usually the one laughing after damage meters get posted. |

If you're diseaseless blood, stay with the jawbone. +Str is your strongest attribute and mitigates a lot better then AP. Also it'll be more beneficial when you receive the Kings buff since it's a % increase in stats. If you're AP heavy you'll receive a far less dmg bonus.
Also what Ghastly said isn't entirely true, the stats he mentioned: agility, hit, AP are most beneficial for a dual wield build - which is very similar to a rogue. This doesn't mean ignore them because you always want to be hit capped. With 2H you want the highest dmg possible, so when you crit your Obli, which should be 50% of the time, you'll average around 10k+ |

Everything else I'm using is all +strength.
I like the this pole arm for the +72 hit rating and the amount of crit%. |

That way I can use my trinket again with the +84 crit. |

Hit cap is priority. If you're above cap, then its a waste.
Make your gear decisions accordingly. I'm at hit cap with a Jawbone equipped. When spec'd Blood, I am expertise capped as well. Having a weapon with Black Ice (which I assume by what you guys wrote and not necessarily by looking it up) has hit on it, which would be a wasted stat for me.
Make your gear decisions intelligently based upon that. If you need hit, get the weapon with hit. If you can get this weapon and remove hit trinkets for damage trinkets, or replace hit gems with STR gems, then get the hit weapon.
If you're like me, and have achieved hit cap without the use of hit trinkets/enchants/gems and just get it naturally with your gear, don't go for Black Ice.

| Yes, I do switch gear around to get hit capped at 296 (presently 301).
I also like to see my AP @ ~3.5K+, and crit +30% (all unbuffed).
I'm pushing very close to the expertise cap of 26 as well.
So everytime I get gear, I have to play around with all the stats, re-gem, re-enchant, etc.
If the loot gods are kind to me,... I will grab Black Ice next time it drops,... it will give me more options. |

DK DPS Help
Hello
I'm new to these boards, Thought I would seek some advice from some of the Veterans here. Here is my armory »www.wowarmory.com/character-shee···g&n=Gaff . My spec is 51-13-7 . I am having trouble breaking 3k on anything mob or dummy. I know I need to replace some things any advice would be greatly appreciate.

| When I checked your armory, you were 51/0/20. I assume that you're using a different rotation and possibly different glyphs than what's in your post now.
I would sincerely recommend specing to Unholy with your current gear situation. 17/0/54, Glyph of SS, Ghoul, whatever (for the third), get the Scourge Strike sigil. |

I spec'd last night another 51/0/20 build. The change to DRW was much needed. A lot of people see the DRW change a nerf, but I see it as good change.
The 3min CD before made your DPS lack and not stay consistent. 3min. seemed like an eternity to wait on for this to come bac up. Now with only a 1.5min CD and (eventually) Glyphed, this talent will be godly.
I don't like the change to Blade Barrier, and the Blood Gorged experise change is also lame.
Last night I was able to pull a consistent 4k dps on the non heroic target dummies. With no other buffs except Horn.
BTW this morning....I absolutely recked a Human Frost DK with 31k health in tank gear. I saw her drop in on a mining node, so I dropped in behind her and showed her what was up. |
