<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/158097"><b>georgermct</b></A> : If you want no part of this process AOL is now forcing on us (we never had "updates to enhance our online experience", ever since I used AOL version 3.0 and up).<br><br>Delete the file named "stic.dll".<br><br>You can find it doing a search "files or folders".<br>Log on to your computer as "Administrator"<br>In Vista you need to click "Advanced Search" in the "Location" drop down choose "Local Disk C" (or where you have all your programs located).<br>Check the box "Include non-indexed, hidden, and system files".<br>Try deleting with AOL closed and nothing of AOL running.<br><br>I found discussion on this topic here:<br>&raquo;<A HREF="http://www.bigblueball.com/forums/aim-support/34677-active-update-aol-core-services-software-update-aim.html" >www.bigblueball.com/forums/aim-s&middot;&middot;&middot;aim.html</A><br><small>--<br>OOL Subscriber Since - 10/18/00 . . . iO Subscriber Since - 11/22/04</small>]]></description>
