Re: Rumour: Massive layoffs at Telus Actually I didn't say Telus is laying off people to outsource to someone else.
I mean that people complain about tech support in some other country(Canadian jobs sent over seas or the workers heavy language accent) and if Telus were to cut jobs there first, then Telus workers here that are facing the axe could man the phones from support centers in BC or Alberta.
But Telus does not want to pay a large wage for an $11.00 an hour position and bonus's.
A few call centers in BC closed down last year due to not enough workers to man them.
