[Packet8] Packet8 down?

Click for full size
Hey guys I was just looking at my Packet8 device and I noticed there is no connection, curious i went to there web-site and that was down. Any ideas what is going on?

From the looks of things they either closed and ran away or down for maintenance of sorts. Further digging on the whois shows activity today, think they pressed the "any key"?

Domain Name: packet8.net

Created on..............: Fri, Apr 26, 2002
Expires on..............: Sat, Apr 26, 2014
Record last updated on..: Thu, Jan 22, 2009

Attached is the screen shot of the web-site, removed favorites....

Looks like someone really screwed up their dns.

Quick fix, log into your ata, give it a static IP and set the dns server for that device to 63.209.12.18

Thank you for your help Soybomb, I tried the static ip and I added 63.209.12.18 as the 1st dns on the list but still does not seem to connect.
I was putting my dns on the 2nd and it was not working, but only put 63.209.12.18 as the dns works. thanks a lot

Yeah once you make changes in the connection settings it automatically reboots, but i tried unplug-replug the power cable again?

Did you reboot the ata after changing the settings?

Down here in Dayton, Ohio. Considering the website is also gone, it's not looking good.

2 lines down in south GA. Calls go straight to voicemail. The 8x8 website is still up though with contact numbers. Just spoke to Travis in customer service and states they are working on it. No ETR.

Soybomb's "quick fix" works, thanks! Copy over any information from the LAN status screen, and simply put in the DNS address that Soybomb provided.

My DTA did not reboot automatically, I did a "reset" from within the config page, and I got a dial tone and made a successful call.

Packet 8 down here too but at least the "forward to when net is down" is working so all calls to Packet 8 line are coming to my cell phone. Packet 8 cust-serv line answers but says it is After-Hours, call tommorrow.

My lines were more than just going to voicemail. When calling my packet8 numbers from a landline I would get a message saying something about a level3 operator. Then it would transfer to a person who answered, before I could get a couple words out it would disconnect. Been happening for a couple hours that way.

Pretty disappointing. Site is down here as well.

As a heads up if the IP address you assign to the device comes from the dhcp pool your router uses, you may have issues down the road. Be sure to use an IP address that isn't in the DHCP pool of your lan.

Confirming the same here with Business account. Tech support (horrible rep that I end up speaking with every time I call) claimed that it was an issue affecting AT&T ISP customers only.

Cannot get 6757i CT to function using the alternative DNS server suggested above, though it's clear that it resolves turn1-l3-sjo.packet8.net.

Standard SBCGlobal DNS is resolving the register.com ip address in the screenshot.

Not so sure about that only AT&T thing since incoming calls are being directed to some operator that was picking up on lines i have as of 15 minutes ago still.

Note entirely. The site was coded with some absolute references which include the domain name.
