Where do you get your local news?

Just curious as to where people get their local news from here in Houston. TV, radio, web, etc.?

Personally, I find myself watching channel 2 in the mornings, but mainly for traffic reports (and Jennifers pretty easy on the eyes . . . [grin]). The radio stations I listen to in the car really don't have much news (The Arrow, The Buzz, JackFM, etc.). Which brings us to the websites . . . The Chronicles website is pretty much a waste of time as far as local news is concerned. They seem to be afraid of insulting any race by accurately reporting the news. I also use khou.com and click2houston.com. Each seems to report different news stories. I occasionaly stumble on to links to local news through cnn.com or dslreports.com.

What am I missing (besides a life) as far as local news is concerned?

We watch the ABC local evening news. Click2houston.com comes in handy sometimes too. I read the Houston Chronicle every morning.

I watch KPRC 2 / Today show in the morning. Then at work I use an RSS feed of MSNBC, CNN, click2houston.com, and wired.com.

I'll also browse news.google.com for anything I might have missed.

Do i Count? I am not a fan of ABC13.com because they have to much of the doctor dude on there feeds. So i will go with KHOU.com. I forgot about news2houston.com. I might have to go check that out again.

I always like to know whats going on in my old towns. One site i like is NY1.com they have some good stuff time to time. Sorry OT.

I may not count either since I've been gone from my beloved hometown for nearly 5 years now, but I always got my daily dose of news on the car radio during my 5-6 day a week commute from home (in Midtown/Downtown) to work (in Stafford). NewsRadio 740 AM, KTRH was the best news source I ever found in the Houston area.

Fridays (IIRC) I would watch KTRK 13 Eyewitness News just to catch Marvin Zindlers "Roach and Mouse Report" and "Slime in the Ice Machine" review... WOW, those were the days!

Marvin who?

I also watch KTRK 13 for local, then watch ABC Nightly. Tend to watch CNN if nothing else is on. Check the CNN and MSNBC sites when their is Breaking News and a couple times a day for Business updates and stock checks. Not crazy about the layout of the Chron site so rarely go there. Actually read the Denverpost site every once in a while to see what is going on back "home".

That's an Understatement
I watch Ch. 2 in the mornings. I get news email updates from Ch. 13 on the web.
Listen to The Buzz on my way to work and 107.5 most of the other time.
