I am 53 years old and am finally scheduling a colonoscopy. My dad had colon cancer so I am at risk.

But I developed a raging infections and spent 71 day in ICU with a Tracheostomy and 97 day in Hosp.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am a member of the team en tho I am not actively folding but plan to resume when things are financially better.

My mom has a cousin who was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in Sept. 2007. She went thru surgery and then chemo and radiation. She is doing well.

My parents were both diagnosed with lung cancer this past May. My dad lost his battle with the disease on Oct. 15th. My mom has been thru chemo and radiation and is doing well.

This is the orginization I belong to, The Colon Cancer Aliance which has helped me tremendously.

I also want you to know that if there is anyone here that is going through what I am and wants to talk, talk about anything, or has any questions I would be glad to do so. I have been through a lot and maybe my experiences might be of some help to somebody.

I also want to thank all of you for doing this so that one day there will be a cure for these dreaded diseases.
