| WHR-HP-G54-1 internet connection fails intermittently
I have a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54-1 router with an unbranded modem made in China ADSL2 both supplied as a package in May 2006.
Recently the connection to the internet fails about 3 times a day.
Below is the latest router log. Of note is the entry at 2009/01/25 12:11:52 PPPOE No response to 6 echo-requests. that looks like it triggers the disconnect.
Please can anyone advise.

| I bought the same package and after about a year started to have the same problems as you. Eventually I replaced the no-name modem with a DrayTek Vigor model and all the issues I had been experiencing just stopped.
So I would recommend that you consider the DrayTek Vigor 110 ADSL2+ Ethernet Modem. Cheapest price I can find in the UK is here
