I just recently switched to cable from 5-7 years of ADSL from bellsouth (ATT) and never remember the rates fluctuating so badly. I am just curious if it is normal to see my download rate jump up/down like what is seen in my attachment screenshot? Mind you that when I upload the connection doesn't flux anywhere near as much as when i download. On my network monitor I see it jump from 400KB/s to 1300KB/s often and then settle for a few seconds around 760KB/s and so on. I have RoadRunner through BrightHouse Networks 7mbit/512kbit, and from my understanding i don't have power-boost (only in Turbo package). I am located in Melbourne, FL but my hostmask is cfl.rr.com.
