You're only doing part of the work for them as they still have to route your call on the back-end (call termination). Since no cell phone carrier guarantees service indoors, this is a neat feature. It all depends on how expensive per month it is, especially the unlimited plans they refer to.

AFAIK, no cell company guarantees service anywhere, indoors or outdoors. All they do is show a general coverage map and tell you to drop their sevice if you don't like it.
