NetLarry posted : First, run the setup program in the DVR. It will allow you to test each mode the DVR and TV together.

The commercials are displayed in the mode that they are provided to ABB by the TV station. WJAC (Channel 6 Johnstown) news is that way as well. The HD boxes will display the "best fit" for your TV; that's why it's important to run the setup to ensure that you'll get the most out of whatever programming is provided.

Go to the website for whatever manufacturer box you have for the instructions. Available modes will depend on what your TV supports.

NetLarry

AtlanticBB DVR and HDMI Port

wagswvu posted : I have a Motorola DVR from AtlanticBB and I now would like to connect everything with an HDMI connector; however when I connect the DVR to my HD TV with the HDMI port the picture is shrunken (almost like 4:3) even though my TV settings are set to wide. I called AtlanticBB, they told me to hit aspect button next to the zero and see if that helps, which it did not, so they said their isn't anything they know to help. Is their anything else I can do? Also, which I flip to one of my free HD channels some shows will display in full screen while the commercials will not.
