Re: Here we go again!!

Well, it is snowing here - about 26 outside. No green grass in sight anywhere. Roofs are getting covered, but driveways and streets just look 'wet'.
Mother Nature is using up her supply of Ivory Snow baby detergent!

Cold yesterday - a combo of rain and tiny snow flakes with no coverage. Snowing more today with bigger flakes - BOOOOOO.

It's been almost 45 years since I was last in Petaluma...so I guess the area has really changed...maybe for the better?

As to the weather right now - it's cold, but no snow. What snow did fall is in batches on the lawn, mine at least.
Tomorrow may be different, of course.

Turkeys and Chickens are mostly gone, but the cows are still there. Then the farmers make a slurry of the urine and dung and fling it onto the fields... now THAT smells.... urrr RIPE.

I remember those days in Northern Calif....especially the East Bay. I loved the warm weather in SanFran and areas, but the closer one got to Petaluma...the smell of the turkeys was wayyyy too much, especially in the heat!

Still windy here. The flakes are very hard to see at the moment. Looks like rain, but flakes are falling. Still not sticking anywhere at all.
At the moment I'm not too worried, I'm watching Stargate SG-1: The Ark Of Truth

Forecast for our neighborhood... 1-3" tonight, 1-3" tomorrow, & 1-2" tomorrow night! And I just stored my snow-blower for the season!

The only saving grace is that the forecast also says it's going to warm slightly toward the end of the week, so none of it should stick around for very long. Highs in the 50's!

It's still flaking here, sometimes very slow, other times plenty of 'white'. Tree branches are moving like crazy. Still nothing sticking to the ground.
Mailman was just here...said 'just wait until tomorrow...gonna get worse'. Oh s**t !!!!!
And to 'top it off' - I just finished my last ciggie (hoping to quit). We'll see what happens

Well, right now it is 32, windy, raining AND snow flakes are flying everywhere. Nothing is sticking to the ground, but who knows? It's still early.
Hope you get lucky like we did here on the west coast of Illinois... we just got a dusting and windy cold.

Parts of western Iowa received 2 to 3 inches of snow, and the outer band of the worst of the storm carried up to 5 inches of snow to north-central and south-central parts of the state.

Damn weather caused the cancellation of a Brave Combo performance in Cedar Rapids I had planned to attend.

Now I remember why I left Trumbull county
Went the the SFO Chinese New Years parade tonight, a bit chilly in the 50's. I almost had to get a cup of coffee at Starbucks to warm up, but then forgot about it. I mean, like 50 is MAJOR cold.
Hey listen jack! That's our high for today, don't diss it. We've been waiting for weather like this!
