Has Jet's service improved at all in the last year?

For anyone who still visits this forum (especially anyone in Christiansburg), has Jetbroadband's speed and reliability improved at all over the course of the last year?

I finally dropped them in November, 2007 after months of sub-dialup speeds (literally), when there was any connectivity at all. NRV Unwired was a welcome relief for a while, but lately it seems like they're overextending themselves -- speeds are way down during peak hours to the point where I'm once again unable to do anything on Xbox Live.

Every night, I dream of the housing market making a comeback so I can sell my house, just to get the heck out of this part of C-burg where those are the only two choices.

But, in the meantime, has anyone been having any actual *good* experiences with Jet of late? Is it even worth my giving them another shot, or would that just be placing false hopes in a company that's done nothing but burn me in the past?

Thanks, all!

Yes if you have just the cable. I am able to get DSL and glad for it. JB internet service is rotten in this area. It's just typical cable. The regular techs know nothing about it and have to get someone from whoever they have it through to come out. They don't always show up and if they do they do very little. Other wise the cable channels are doing better. They even have some of the local stations in HD. They do not advertise it so they can sell their boxes and run your rates up. The best cable internet is in the major metropolitan areas. Here it is far from that.

Soory I did not notice you are in Christainsburg. I am in the Rustburg area. Cable is better here than there from what I hear. Would not take anything for my DSL.
