I signed up in January 2008, installation was Feb 2008. I signed for a 2year deal, locked prices for one year. In essence, I missed last year's price hike by 2 weeks. I'll likely be getting two price hikes this time! Woot! -- »www.theexitwound.com |

| reply to tiger72 I did the same thing. I got tired of paying over $600 a year for mediocre programing that's repeated constantly. I'm content with watching only what I want to watch when I want to watch it via Hulu and Joost. which has added more content. I'm considering subscribing to Netflix, however, I'm not a huge movie buff. I'm actually enjoying leaving the TV off a lot--nice to rediscover the peace and quiet of reading. (I think I left the TV on and watched stuff I really didn't enjoy just because I was paying for the service and wanted to "get my money's worth.") |

| reply to EXC0P I signed up for directv 2 months after they first started offering their service. Price was $19.95 a month. If you wanted the HBOs you paid a company called USSB $9.95 a month. When they eliminated total choice, eliminated channels we watched and still raised the price we kicked them to the curb in 2007. We refused to pay $50.00+ just to watch a TV. Between HDTV, video tapes at the library and the internet I'll never pay to watch a TV again. Even more so in this economy. |
