| Of course they are lying. I just checked their web site, and they have 'maybe' 20 positions open. I know for a FACT they have hired less than 200 new people, and the vast majority of them are low level help desk. Fairpoint just doesn't have the capital to expand, they have a huge amount of debt, and they have a VERY expensive footprint to cover. No wonder verizon wanted to bail on the entire thing. Fairpoint, like Hawaii telelcom, is going to be broke within 2 years. God help us all, especially those of us who have FIOS.
