speed tests aren't accurate
When I upload video's and files to my online server I regularly see it in the 100kb/s range. It's almost always that high. |

After you do the speed test you should see copy forum link and copy direct link. Copy the one with forum link and paste in a comment here. I hope this helps. |

| Not sure what is happening but got an automated call today inthe Cadillac Michigan area that July 27 Alltel services are being updated. A letter is coming in the mail providing upgrade instructions for the data card. Man maybe something good will finally happen. I'll post results on a later day for others that will still be waiting |

Could be, like I said I have yet to hear anything from Verizon about what they are doing. But most people more in the know than myself have said between September and October things will be switched over. I would rather just hurry up and get it over with. |

| I'm having issues with my alltel connect card it keeps going dormant....this just started 2 days ago. tech support at verizon had me do a bunch of stuff that didn't help....anyone having this problem or could walk me through how to fix it??? I'm illiterate in this area...

What happens when it goes dormant? Does it disconnect or something? Normally all dormant means is you are moving any data at that time and it is just idle. |

| Ok all who are interested. I just got the Alltel letter and this July 27 followed just now the instructions. They had me put in a new MIN and I am on PRL 40052. I dont know if long term things happen but the immediate effect I am sorry to say sucks. Download and upload I wont even report as both are poor but Ping is decent at 136. Perhaps with time the modem accepts new things, I just dont know. Ill post in a day or two any changes |

Cadillac, MI | No posts for some time now. Hopefully, that means that many are getting good speeds with Alltel now. Me it is much better but some periods of poor performance. Two episodes of area system down referring to Grand Rapids area network. |

| Sailboattrip everything seems fine on my end. I had a couple of days this past week that my computer locked up so I switched from Verizon to Alltel's PRL now I'm back using Verizons and that didn't help. I have a friend from Texas that was having similar problems but she is on Sprint. I think it was a windows update problem. I did a system restore and it has been fine.
