I was a Verizon customer for 2 years and while I was very satisfied with their service, their customer service left a bit to be desired, especially retentions. I abhor people who want something for free, but when you have a $300/month bill with a company for 2 years and you say you're leaving to reduce your monthly expenses, they should offer you SOME kind of carrot. Verizon basically told me, "So long and thanks for all the fish!"
Just when I thought Verizon's customer service couldn't get worse, they reverse pro-consumer policies to squeeze people even more. |

| I agree Verizon and all these phone companies are Vultures with these ETFs. Its a complete disgrace and the reduction in the discount to upgrade to a new phone is also a low blow to consumers.
While I am happy with the actual Service with Verizon I am upset with how they lock down phones and cripple them. I have a great phone and if only they would unlock the GPS on it I would be super happy.
Goes to show all the companies IMHO are just as evil.

| Yeah well I like Verizon and since most people I call are on Verizon I save a ton of money because of In Network calling ... and if it wasn't for that I'd be looking elsewhere since Verizon is always the last to get new phones and good phones.

| im looking into tmobile for just this reason , the 10 person circle thing , im all done dealing with verizon wireless.
ill buy sprint unlimited everything before i got back to vz , $200 a month and they treat me like crap.
Im voting with my money.

A word of caution concerning T-Mobile, CROOKS, my experience with this POS cabal that pretends to be a professional corporation was a wreck from the onset of my contract, that was a number of years ago and I recall having described the entire disaster at the Cellphones board, I too voted with my money and left as soon as my contract expired, good riddance T-MoFo.

| One thing to remember if you are talking about service (as in signal not customer service) it is all very dependent on where you live. Back in 2002 when I sold Wireless at Best Buy I got the T-Mobile rep to admit to me and my staff that they had no towers in central Jersey hence you had to rely on roaming and signal was spotty at best.

Here on Long Island, their cell towers are like Chicken Pox on a child.....spread out all over the place but they do not overlap.
I had a Tmo Blackberry 2 years ago and had to ditch it. Could Not keep a conversation up while driving because of those gaps.
Look at the Boston area once you head north and west towards Marlborough, Concord, Fitchburg etc. eek! |
