The Netopia 3347NWG I have used with Bellsouth has wireless disabled by default. I would enable it, name it something you know, (last name is popular) and set a 26 letter code I can remember.
Here is a demo using a Qwest version of the 3347, Bellsouth uses 192.168.1.254 in my experience.
