what's BT got to do with it??

You obviously don't regard your privacy as "important" then.

I've been with BT several times, an average service. BE is a lot better though.
eh? the OP is debating between "Be" and "O2" which are both LLU providers owned by Telefónica (of Spain) and have as little to do with BT as it's possible for an ISP in the UK to have unless one lives in either a cabled area or Hull...
{BT have had nothing whatsovere to do with O2 since they demerged it in 2001 (2 years after they had bought out Securicor) - Telefónica bought both O2 and (Swedish owned) BeThere in 2006}

I have been with O2 for about 8 months. Without doubt THE best ISP I have ever used,( I move around the Globe quite a bit so have experienced overseas ISPs' as well as Uk). I have extensive Comp experience so I very rarely need to call the HELP line, although initially in O2s case I had to call them. The Help service is second to none, 24/7 and always courteous.
I have read the comments on Thinkbroadband forum and it would appear that Be leave a bit to be desired re Help.
I am currently on an LLU setup of a 16 meg line priced at 9.95 per month and never go below 12 megs, comp is running 16 hrs per day. Never had a line drop under LLU although a few when using access. O2 all the way!!!

I wouldn't go BT under any circumstances.

The main reason is that BT are spying on it's customers!!!

@accenture.com

  Hi guys,

I was wondering whether there's any difference in the quality of service between Be Broadband and O2. I know that O2 own Be, and essentially function on the same LLU network.

I was with Be before moving to my current flat, and it's only now that my local exchange has become available for O2 and Be. I was very happy with Be before, getting about 17 megs (although I feel my current wiring will probably max out at 5 megs :-/).

I'm asking as O2 offer great discounts if you're an O2 mobile customer. So if there's no real difference between the two I'll naturally go for the cheaper O2 deal.

I'm in the West London area.

Thanks in advance!
