I would agree with you and I have said it many times in the past that was the real reason why Rupert Murdock bought myspace and their are many others that provide you a service while at the same time your data is mined and bought and sold.
I know datamining can reveal detail's about your personal profile but that is not really the big risk since you can do data aggregation where you join information together from other sources and I could list plenty of examples but as I said this nothing new with intellipedia.
