No way I'm going to use online storage service. No security and too expense. I would rather buy USB storage.

Actually I think the opposite. A 1TB external drive is still around $120. That's two years' worth of Mozy backup, or BackBlaze, paid per month.

Security-wise the internet backups are much better. THey're encrypted, plus they're offsite...WAY offsite...so in the event that there's something you really need a backup for, you've got it.

On Qwest's 2GB backup option though, I'm not enthused about ISPs offering "free" stuff...gives them the excuse to raise prices and really doesn't provide added value to most customers.
