The people at Comcast said that they have updated their plant to DOCSIS 3.0 in my area... but don't have any DOCSIS 3.0 modems to and don't know when they will get any.
Furthermore there doesn't seem to be any DOCSIS 3.0 available for sale.
That is a separate issue. What they say is that they are upgrading so that they can SUPPORT D3 not that they actually SUPPLY D3 in those 35% of their Headends. The D3 capable modems (like the Motorola 61xx series) while listed on the Motorola site are not yet available to the public for purchase.
