where are you thinking about moving in arizona?
lived in az all of my life and there is quite a diverse landscape out here. came from the mountains at an elevation of ~7000ft msl (with mountains of 10000+ within 15 minutes drive) and now live in phoenix.
downside is that most of the population (and therefore jobs) are centralized. cost of living in flagstaff is *outrageous*, but you are out of the heat and in the snow.
gotta love the location of arizona. close to mexico, close to vegas, close to socal. really a big win in that respect. plus we don't have to worry about that damn daylight savings time.
