1 edit | Well waive bye to those jobs. Half the union will probably not be returning to work if they strike.

| | | | Re: Well waive by to those jobs. Maybe, maybe not, I hadn't noticed too many that quit because of after strike treatment by the union in the last two SBC strikes. IMHO, I don't think that, from what I have seen of AT&T wireless employees that they are super strong union types. | |

| | | Don't forget that other unions will also honor the pickets and not cross if they have business with ATT.
We had a friend of the family that was a teamster. A retired truck driver. I was suppose to be giving him a lift back from getting serviced at a dealership but there were people picketing the dealership we were going to go in. We parked down the street walked on over and asked them what it was about and they said it was an informational picket about something, airing their grievances. But they said we were ok to still use the dealership at this time. He said that even though he's retired, he won't cross any picket lines. He served in WW2 so camaraderie still meant something to him. So ever since then, I haven't crossed any picket lines... He said unions back then really stuck together. He said one time a company started searching everyones lunch boxes. Don't know if stuff went missing or if they just got paranoid. Well, one day all the guys carried their lunches each in a giant cardboard box. Another time there was a guy who didn't really dress too spiffy and the bosses told him to wear better clothes or something. The next day some of the guys came in wearing tuxes to work. They went down to the Goodwill and picked out some horrid looking ones. I wish I could of seen these things.

During last 4 day strike about 4 years ago, we had 1 worker cross the lines at the building next door. Word spreads like wildfire who the ppl are who cross. She had to transfer to over 40 miles away to get away from the heat.
