There is also another new rogue, a clone of AntispyKnight called MalwareDoc. -- "The trouble with computers, of course, is that they are very sophisticated idiots." - Doctor Who (from Robot)

1 edit | reply to MarkAW I've been finding these things spreading like crazy. In fact, the last few months I've been working with computers that had infections of Vundo in them and downloaded such programs. I did come across one called PC-Antispyware last night on a PC I was working on that I removed without issues. As of the last few months, I've been installing IE7Pro as well as Firefox onto people's computers, so that they can either Switch to Firefox or keep it as a backup, and IE7Pro mainly for the ad-blocker and some scripts to filter out ads even more. |

| reply to MarkAW Wow, the sheer number of these garbage programs is unbelievable. It's not too hard to see why the average user could easily make a mistake.
I'm not sure why cleaner09's wife is resisting so hard, but she would be wise to heed the advice in this thread. It wouldn't be that difficult to find a legitimate and free program that is recommended right here in this forum to replace her crapware. |
