Re: Who stopped doing a rain dance?

I drove for the first time in months on Saturday and what happens it rains buckets for 15 minutes during that time and stops fr rest of the day. I wish whoever did the dance would wait for my parade to end...

I don't want anyone with a damaged roof to get water inside their house, but I need rain before my outside plants give it up and die.

I have been trying to conserve water -- not only for me if I get a higher water bill -- but I don't want to end up in place where the City of Houston mandates restricted water usage.

I want it to rain for a week, but our roof may not be able to handle it. We our still waiting for our turn in line to have our new roof done after the Ike damage.

A "Pacific front" just went through here. The squall line was about 300 miles long and straight as an arrow. It wasn't very wide, though. Only got about 2/3" rain, but it fell in about 15 minutes.

Are we likely to get some cold fronts coming in again, or has that ship sailed? I'm not liking this muggy weather in February.

If you dance with enough vigor after drinking enough beer, you might give some yellow rain for the ants.

Peyote is supposed to be really good for all sorts of Indian rituals. It's even legal for that use.

Never used peyote. Is that part of rain dance? How about a rain dance after drinking beer, does that work?

Doesn't hurt to have some peyote in your system, either.

So get outside and do a rain dance. I think you are supposed to be naked, or barely clothed, but it should work either way.

"... doing a rain dance?"

When I saw your topic title,
I thought i was have de je'vue all over again !

I had just been watching some old
(I mean really OLD) George Carlin tapes.

He was wondering how they practiced doing
the Rain Dances before they actually
wanted it to rain and why didn't it cause rain then ---
-- then later I heard the Houston TV channel announcer
talking about the same thing
AND tonight I see your post.

WOW

It was pouring when I got up, sometime before 6:00 AM. However, it didn't last very long. We need rain!
