$20 dollars more then Alltel

Alltel started the 5 my circle plans on their Greater Freedom and National Freedom plans at $49.99. The referenced Yahoo News article states

»tech.yahoo.com/news/ap/20090212/···ess_plan
"Verizon Wireless, now the country's largest cellular carrier, is calling the feature "Friends & Family." It will be available starting Sunday. Customers on single-line plans starting at $60 per month will get five free numbers, and those on family plans starting at $90 per month for two lines will get ten free numbers."

I'm with Verizon Wireless now on there $39.99 plan, which ends up being $49.99. Alltel starts giving 5 my-circle numbers at 49.99. While Verizon's lowest plan below their $69.99 plan is their $59.99. That's twenty dollars more are they crazy.

"Sir SIR! We don't use DHCP servers. We only use IBM & Microsoft servers." From there my call to tech support went steadily downhill.

I think they're completely sane. It's a nice "reward" for those who generate revenue. If they offered it at a lower price how many people would drop down to a lower rateplan? I bet 90% of peoples minutes goes to 5 people or less.. giving someone on a $40 rate plan virtually unlimited minutes would be crazy, imo.
