Goodbye Charter!!

Charter,
you never gave me a chance to be a customer. You ran cables just short of me and all of my neighbors. To get that far, you had to run cable past empty fields. Then you STOPPED....servicing nobody!

I sure hope the next guys who buy your local network understand the concept of SELLING service to pay for build-outs, instead of useless build-outs to ZERO customers.

I truly believe that in this case, you got what you deserved.

They may have run cable past your empty fields, but it was more than likely fiber or trunk hard line to feed service to a different area. It is a "HUGE" cost to install service to a small community with a few houses that are "possible" customers and would take years for them to get any profit from that. Theyre are a lot of things to consider that you are not aware of such as permitting and legal issues that they would have to get through a lot of red tape to service those few houses you are talking about. So just because the lines passed your fields, does not mean that they were able to service you. Companies often have to take certain routes to bring new services into cities and those routes are determined by local governments, not Charter.
