 | It's About Time! I worked at a cable company purchased by Charter a few years ago. I left almost immediately after they took over, as did a number of other long-term managers, because of their unacceptable business practices. You may remember that former Eastern region senior vice president David McCall was indicted on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and eight counts of wire fraud. McCall pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in July 2003. He was followed by former chief operating officer David Barford, who pleaded guilty to the same charge. Based on my experience, it appeared they took the fall for the guys above them. Ethical shortcomings, bad management, horrible treatment of employees and worse treatment of customers. How do they even manage to stay in business? Maybe the bankruptcy judge will be able to skim most of the scum off the top of the executive pool. |
