The call centers are one of the last groups to be told dates. If you tell a call center agent a date he tells customers. dates have a tendency to change often and I mean often.

Now you have a bunch of customers calling back to find out why the date they were told has not been met.

That's why you will rarely get a date unless its set in stone.
