A better move would have been to keep Alltel as its own brand, offered the same way as Boost Mobile, leave the plans and stuff alone. Trying to switch them over is going to inevitably result in another Sprint Nextel issue. Yes, I know it's not two different technologies - but the customers expect one thing and are going to get something completely different. Alltel was at the lower end of the pricing spectrum, whereas Verizon is on the complete opposite. I can see people's contracts running out and then being ramped up $20-$40/month. |
