Static DHCP IP-s with whr-hp-g54 with Tomato 1.23

I like all my 5 PC-s always to take same (static) IPs.
Following the Wiki recommendation I went to the "Device List", clicked on the IP address of the devices I wanted to make Static, edited the device name and clicked "Add", not forgetting to click "Save" to commit.
Then happens Nothing.
3 days I waited my PC-s to take their new defined by me static IPs, but they defiantly kept their non-static IPs, and refused to take static IPs.
I rebooted 3 times whr-hp-g54, rebooted 3 times all PC-s, but none of them took the predefined by me static IP.
Please tell me what was my mistake: what wrong I did or did not do.

Re: Static DHCP IP-s with whr-hp-g54 with Tomato 1.23

You need to assign those static IP's to each of your 5 computers also?

Thank you DataAve, this surely will work.
But my problem is some different. I want to assign (defined by me) static IP-s without physical touching client's machines, without installing whatever software on them, without even knowing what these machines look like and what OS they use. Some of this PC-s are locked by door-locks; some are inaccessible physically (wireless); and more - I would not like to discuss with their users the IP-s of their machines and the router's rules assigned to each separate static IP.
If assigning a static IP directly on client's machine is the only way of assigning of static IP in the network - why then is necessary the option "Static DHCP" in the router firmware? Also in the Tomato Wikibook (»en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Tomato_Firmware) nowhere is mentioned that it is necessary to go and run each client's machine "TCP/IP Properties" to assign it a static IP.

In the router's firm section "Static DHCP" I see day after day the list of assigned by me IP-s, but in the section "Device List" are mentioned used by the router another IP-s not assigned by me in the list "Static DHCP".
Surely there is another trick in Tomato with the static IP-s that I could not understand.

Is there another router assigning IP addresses on the same network?

The computer needs to have the static IP locally assigned, (on the computer itself). Otherwise it only is capable of accepting DHCP. Maybe you could temporarily disable DHCP and run in to set up static IP on each computer as they complain about the problem.

You should be able to use DHCP reservations and not have to change the client. Are you assigning static IPs within the same scope as DHCP? Your best bet for Tomato support is the linksysinfo.org forum.

Thank you boys!
It is not my fault I asked my question here as far as this forum is linked with the tomato firmware site »www.polarcloud.com/tomatofaq as first place to ask with the words "See the README included with the firmware for additional information. For other questions/problems, try the following: Wikibook (en) Wikibook (de) Broadband/DSL Reports Forums". Linksysinfo.org forum comes only at second place after that. Now I see here are mainly the hardware problems. I have not hardware problems with my whr-hp-g54 so I switch to linksysinfo.org forum.
Anyway before switching I would like to answer LLigetfa: I assigned static IPs OUTSIDE the same scope as DHCP following to the recommendation of the author of the firmware "Tomato" in the FAQ placed at his downloading site »www.polarcloud.com/tomatofaq#sho···dhcp_ip_, though this recommendation sounds some strange for me: "Inside or outside of the DHCP range will work, but it's probably better to use an address outside of the range so it doesn't get in the way".

@spectrumnet.bg
it is a pity - so many people read this, but nobody knows the answer

Thank you W7RMS, there is no other router in the network, neither hardware or software router, no "internet connection sharing" enabled.
Thank you PeeWee. You pointed a pretty good idea that I didnot guess because I still beleived it is possible to use the tomato designed and undercsored feature "static lease" ("static DHCP").
At the end of all maybe I will entirely switch off DHCP and assign static ips.

@spectrumnet.bg
"Erase all Data in NVRAM (thorough)" did not help.
Tomato tenasiously keeps assigning his own (not mine) ips.
