Re: caps.... Part of the problem is that a few years back Frontier suffered a takeover. Frontier had built a nationwide fiber backbone with the expectation that this would enable them to provide reasonable prices for their customers and a good return on investment.
After the take over they had the Telco side sold off.
This left them unable to compete in the manner they had planned on.
Frontier should be the poster boy for what happens when mergers and takeovers are given without proper consideration for how it may affect the company's ability to provide the service it was in business to do. This is not a problem for company's that face competition but it is a problem when they are monopolies who must also serve the public interest. |
