Emergency backup

The overnight link says this is only if they also have Internet service from Verizon.

I wonder if it will allow 800 numbers and similar, or truly blocks anything other than 911.

A good idea as an emergency backup. VOIP and cell phones are nowhere near as reliable as POTS in an emergency.
