| I love Sprint I had Verizon for 5 years.
I switched to Sprint because I could never get anyone on the phone at Verizon that could do anything for me.
I had no service at all in my home.
I can see the tower from my house.
So instead of dealing with customer service at Verizon Wireless, which was useless, I called sprint and ported over 3 numbers. They spoke English, they sent me 3 phones 2nd day air, and I have 4-5 bars in my home.
Sprint followed up with phone call.
I have now had them 3 years and they continue to give me updated phones for free, replace broken ones, and I always have coverage.
I had one Sprint billing problem, called, and it was fixed.
Verizon I fought with them 1 year AFTER I had switched.
So I am sure this differs with area, but everyone around here has Verizon. Maybe Verizon has better commercials, but I would never go back. |

join:2002-11-27 | I have had sprint since '01 and love the service. Did have some billing issues, but those were resolved in a prompt manner.
I think sprint is suffering from bad PR and just not enough money to fight verizon's marketing propaganda. |

I might go with Sprint except for the fact they choose not to service my area. If they are having a problem keeping customers they better damn well start trying to get new ones. As it is I'm with Verizon since they actually service my area. Even have EDVO in my area. Also there is a Verizon store in my area. I think the nearest Sprint place is 50 miles away. |

| No Problems Here No problems with Sprint either, even when there is a dispute with my bill, I always get my way! They are good people and I plan to stay with them for a long time. Besides Verizon charges $39.99 for internet for the cell - Sprint is $15 - can't beat that.

They have customer service in India. Verizon Wireless has all centers inside the USA!
I am glad Pres. Obama is giving tax breaks to companies who keep workers here in the USA. |

That's funny. I stayed at a campground in Youngsville and both me and my wife couldn't get reception on our Sprint phones and my parents could on their Verizon phones.
Just goes to show you that it simply doesn't matter and they're all crap in the end.

Floral Park, NY | The only place where I lost coverage from Sprint was when I went camping on a Mountain up in Barryville, NY. Verizon actually did have some service on the way up (not the actual campgrounds) which I was able to use since Sprint gives me free roaming.
Overall I'm much happier with Sprint than I was with ATT (haven't have Verizon since before digital). Better coverage, and customer service... at least in my experience. |

Sprint still seems to lose my text messages into thin air. Calls still drop. I still hit random tiny areas of no coverage, just enough to disconnect you if you're driving.
Cell phones are the only things on the planet that we accept that won't work and I don't understand why. If our cars behaved like our cell phones we'd run them back to the dealer. If our TV just quit working every now and then we'd take it back to the store. |

You may want to check that your phone is set to automatic and not Sprint only. If verizon had signal there and you had none then your phone should have roamed onto Verizon. I have seen phones from stores in FL that go out set on Sprint only and causes those people a lot of headaches when they get way off the beaten path. |

BTW I have had Sprint since 2000. No troubles at all. One billing error on a new phone. Called, they spoke clear English, and promptly corrected the mistake. |

Identical story here---coming up on eight years as a Sprint customer.
For resolving non-technical problems, I've had way better luck with eCare in recent years than phone support.
