Re: Sprint is ok Really? I've found Sprint coverage to be stellar where I go, or at least just as good as any other national carrier. If they do roam, it's fre and the roaming signal is of course generally great.
There's no way I'm leaving Sprint as long as I can keep my current plan. 500 minutes, unlimited nights and weekends starting at 5 p.m. (yes, 5 p.m.), unlimited M2M, text, MMS, web. $30 per month plus $6 in taxes and fees. For the moment $10 extra for TeleNav. Always $7 extra for insurance; I have a smartphone.
Such a plan would cost probably $40 + $20 + $15 + $5 + $10 + $10 = $100 or so, plus taxes and fees, on another carrier. Why would I switch? Sprint is rock-solid in my experience, broadband speeds over cellular are quite good, and customer service, when I've needed to call them, have been reasonably helpful, though I've had better.
Here's hoping Sprint is going to stick around. If they don't, I'll have to go back to prepaid, likely losing a ton of features in the process. I''m certainly not paying $50 a month for voice-only to Verizon or AT&T, and T-Mobile's coverage is a bit flakey and they don't have 3G in most places still... | | Luker3 join:2004-10-09 Blacksburg, VA Reviews:

| Yeah, with roaming I always have signal. And it is free roaming. I have to use roaming when I am at my house all the time, and I make 70% of my calls there.
Sprint has the best deals(I have a 3 year old deal that is much better), it is just the bad PR that is losing customers. Plus they are trying to pull in a better variety of phones. And now they are going to have to wait 2 years for everyone to get out of their iPhone contracts before they start getting customers back. | |
