Re: Sprint is ok

Voice quality on Sprint isn't quite as good as it was on iDEN/Nextel.
That would depend on the phone model. CDMA as a whole is much better than iDen (and GSM) for voice but there are some CDMA phones that have poor speakers, etc. So it's more likely the phone than the network.

I've had many phones on Sprint over the years (and variety on family plan) and each phone sounds different. Some great, some not so much.

This is using Bluetooth (same Motorola HS700).
The audio on the BB 7100i is a bit on the tinny side, but VERY consistent on quality - no garbles, dropouts, etc.
On the Treo 800w, the sound appears to be a little on the 'robotic' side, with a bit of distortion (garble/muffle).

As far as speakerphone goes, I'd agree. Nextel devices are meant to be loud. Treo 800w on speaker sounds like the audio itself is over amplified.

As far as GSM goes...I've used GSM, and its pretty good, however has had garble (handoffs). AMR-Full rate on GSM or UMTS sounds better than what I got off of the Treo 800w and off of iDEN.
