 | And even without the FCC restriction, if some stations don't shut down and move from their current channels, other channels won't be able to move to their final channel assignments. |

Many more didn't have time to be qualified to shut down early so they didn't bother asking. No one can shut down early until March 14. Requests have to be made 30 days in advance. Which means those wanting to shut down on March 14th had to get requests in by Feb 12th. That's only 3 days after the Feb 9 deadline for permission to shut down Feb 17th. So I doubt many are going to shut down March 14th either. I think in about 2-3 weeks the data will show that ther isn't a problem and more people are ready that was thought. And I suspect then more stations will request to shut down ealry. In fact I predict the total number of stations that will be all digital by April 12th( 2 months before the June deadline )will exceed 50% and as high as 60%. |

What Copps says and what was actually done are two different things. Several markets are digital-only. -- Toolmaster of La Grange. |
