small(er) unofficial linux mirror less.cogeco.net

has Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubuntu/Edubuntu, Fedora, OpenSUSE, Freebsd ISO's (and cvs)

Theres usually an ISO in a memdrive on it too if you want to run a different speedtest.

Oooh, yea, there's another province in Canada, isn't there? A whole 'nother language too... Sorry!

sales number (Québec) 800-665-5151

technical support (7h30-23) (Québec) 800-665-3131

Support page for different OS/mail progs/etc »aide.cogeco.com

(being redone atm since that old site is waaaaay outdated, but the new site should be done in the incoming weeks / no english section yet but it's in the making too - we're contemplating a different adress for english users)

If you wanna add the Cogeco packages for Québec, just change the "o" in the adress for a "q" same for most of the other pages, not like a lot of us post here but I know some do and would like to see those links

I made a suggestion a while back that Cogeco consider combining selfcare, webmail and the area where you can get your residential statement online (can't do business yet it seems) and someone said they'd take that into consideration... is that what Quebec has or is working on?

Also, someone at Cogeco might want to take note that the residential AUP link leads to a February, 2004 HTML page while another method of navigation leads to a December, 2008 PDF document. Or is that intentional?

And yet another question... Are Quebec and French rules, regulations and AUP's the same? I note there are individual French and English AUP's... are these interchangeable between provinces? Meaning, can the English AUP apply to an anglophone in Québec, and can the French AUP apply to a francophone in Ontario? Thanks!

Oh heck, I had a few other things that people suggested I add, but I can't edit this post anymore. Is there a time limit to edit?

How about VOD that allows you to queue some of the shorter programming. Example treehouse on demand, that way every 25-30 mins I do not have the hear my daughter scream that the show is off

so say Queue Up 5 and hit play and not have to worry.

Here's link to an alternate method of speed testing that I posted some time ago,

»home.cogeco.ca/~example/

I probably have way more suggestions but can't think of any at the moment.

I wanted to put the Quebec one mentioned in another thread, and a few other changes, but I can't update the post... I guess after a certain amount of last edited days, you're locked out.

Maybe just add to the thread and then one day Chelle can help us purty it up and make it a permanent link at the top of the forum.

Those aren't torrents, they're complete downloads from an unofficial mirror.

Those are .torrent files, Cogeco doesn't actually host any torrents or provide a tracking service. So if you were under any form of throttling, whatever peers you downloaded from the tracker the file provides you with, you'd still be throttled.
